Abstract
Dr Mwenda’s contributes an analysis of the development of emerging economies and provides a comparison of the African experience with those of Asia, Eastern Europe and Latin America. He discusses the problems of foreign investment in developing countries and the various incentives put in place by those countries to maintain these investments. In his analysis he questions whether the incentives are
adequate in these emerging economies. The book further deals with the legal aspects of equity financing and raises issues concerning redemption of equity.
