Loose Strands in the Web: Meta Sites, Intellectual Property and Cyber-Consumers
Abstract
This article examines the validity of intellectual property in cyberspace. The author argues against the proposition that the current intellectual property law and legislation should apply in cyberspace without any kind of adjustment. Instead, the
author argues that in the new medium of internet technology the old law will not work and a fresh interpretation is called for. Focussing on the issue of "meta sites", the author dissects the issue of intellectual property and the unqiue challenges of copyright in cyberspace.
