Abstract

The author discusses situations where the Zambian Government has taken legislative initiatives to allow foreign investment into Zambia. The introduction of legislation however is shown by the author not to be an effective means with which to encourage such investment. Many cultural problems are identified by the author concerning Zambia, such as corruption, inflation and the fact that Zambian currency has little global significance. Despite this, the author has a belief that there may be potential in future years for Zambia to prosper from foreign investment.
