Abstract

This paper considers some recent developments in Environmental and Resource Management Law in New Zealand. The issues include the assessment of consents, lifestyle subdivisions, sustainable management objectives and Maori objections, aquaculture provisions, hazardous substances and new organisms. The author concludes with reference to Kyoto and the influence of developments in Australian law.
