Recent Developments in the Romanian Intellectual Property Legal Regime
Abstract
This article describes recent amendments to the law on intellectual property in Romania. The author examines reforms in three areas: national patents, protection of industrial designs and seizure of 'piracy goods' by customs authorities. The article concludes by observing that Romanian laws are consistent with European Union regulations and help to maximise opportunities for holders of intellectual property rights.
