Abstract

The article examines regulation of access to IVF in Australia. It is argued that the criteria for access to IVF in Western Australia is based on social norms, and is discriminatory. It is argued that the welfare of the child potentially born as a result of IVF is a more appropriate basis for regulation of access to IVF.
