Introducing Mediation: A Multi-Faceted Approach to Learning in Legal Education
Abstract
This article examines the outcomes of a programme which promoted student participation in a range of teaching strategies. The format required students to participate in four activities: a brainstorming session; reading and discussion exercises; viewing audio-visual materials; and participating in a role play. An evaluation questionnaire was administered at the conclusion of the workshop. An analysis of the questionaire is presented. The results of the programme suggest that a range of teaching strategies present students with better learning opportunities.
