Glen Kelly

Glen Kelly is a distinguished advocate for Indigenous rights and environmental stewardship in Australia.
As a proud member of the Noongar community, he has dedicated his life to advancing the interests and well-being of Indigenous Australians. Glen has extensive experience in Indigenous land management and cultural heritage protection, having held key leadership roles in various organizations.
While serving as the CEO of the South West Aboriginal Land and Sea Council (SWALSC), Glen was instrumental in the negotiation of the Noongar Native Title Settlement, the largest native title settlement in Australian history. This landmark agreement has provided significant cultural and economic benefits to the Noongar people, ensuring the preservation and recognition of their traditional lands and heritage.
Glen now has over 30 years’ experience in Aboriginal Affairs, native title and negotiation with an emphasis on providing strong leadership which is based on integrity and knowledge as well as seeking and achieving outcomes that are empowering and sustainable.
In 2021, Glen was appointed as a Member of the National Native Title Tribunal. Glen also previously served as the Chief Executive Officer of the National Native Title Council – the peak body of the Indigenous Native Title Sector, a Director of KPMG Indigenous Consulting and Research Fellow at the Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies (AIATSIS). Glen has also held the position of the Chair of the WA Aboriginal Lands Trust, Director on the board of Reconciliation Australia and served on the Murdoch University Senate from 2015-2021.
He was the winner in the Aboriginal Award category of the 2019 Western Australian of the Year Awards and in 2022 was awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia for service to the Indigenous community of Western Australia.
