Overview

FlexiTrack High is designed to help you develop the skills needed to succeed at university. Murdoch University works with participating secondary schools to provide a structured and supportive learning experience for students seeking an alternative option to the ATAR pathways into university. FlexiTrack High utilises the most effective evidence-based teaching and learning approaches. The program is delivered as a blended program utilising both online independent study and dedicated class time at each partner school. Murdoch tutors guide and assess the student learning experience and support teacher facilitators at participating schools.

Dates: Week commencing 10th February 2025 to 26th September 2025

Cost: $300 (Fully funded scholarships are available to equity students)

To succeed you must be committed to attending FlexiTrack High classes during Terms 1, 2 and 3 while you’re completing Year 12 as well as studying independently and during the term breaks.

You will be eligible to apply for an undergraduate course at Murdoch University if you successfully pass FlexiTrack High and meet attendance requirements. As FlexiTrack High attracts WACE points it is assumed that you will complete Year 12.

Entry requirements

FlexiTrack High is suitable for aspirational high school students who are seeking an alternative to ATAR for entry into university. They are nominated by representatives from participating schools. It is also open to humanitarian visa students attending the partnership school.

English Requirements

You must meet a minimum standard in English to study at Murdoch, which for most courses can be demonstrated by providing evidence that you have completed Year 11 and 12 in Australia at any level if you are a domestic student, or through either English proficiency tests, university preparation courses, English language courses, previous tertiary study or vocational education.

Other Requirements

To demonstrate English competence for entry into the program, applicants must demonstrate that they have achieved 'B' or higher in general English or a 'D' or higher in ATAR English in year 11.

How much will it cost?

Instead of paying an overall course fee, you pay for the individual units you enrol in. The total course cost will vary depending on the units you choose.

Following your successful application, you’ll receive a Letter of Offer which will contain specific course and fee information.

If you are applying for an undergraduate course, you may be eligible for a Commonwealth Supported Place. Postgraduate programs are full fee paying, unless indicated otherwise in your Letter of Offer.
