Become a qualified healthcare professional with the skills to assess, diagnose and provide management for skeletal and muscular problems as a registered Chiropractor. 

Chiropractors don’t just treat back pain – they help improve the wellbeing of the entire human body. Throughout the course you'll develop fundamental skills required for decision-making and clinical reasoning as well as biomechanics knowledge, static and motion palpation skills, soft tissue management techniques, mobilization and manipulation skills of the spine and pelvis.

Professional accreditation

The course B1331 Bachelor of Science / Bachelor of Clinical Chiropractic is accredited by the Council on Chiropractic Education Australasia (CCEA).

Professional recognition

Graduates of the B1331 Bachelor of Science / Bachelor of Clinical Chiropractic are eligible for registration with the Chiropractic Board of Australia and are also eligible for registration in New Zealand.

Graduates from Council on Chiropractic Education Australasia (CCEA) accredited educational institutions may be eligible to sit registration examinations in the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe and other parts of the world in accordance with the laws and requirements of each individual country and/or jurisdiction.

International students should note that if they intend to seek work in Australia after graduation, that there is a registration requirement for minimum English language competency of IELTS Band 7.

English Requirements

You must meet a minimum standard in English to study at Murdoch, which for most courses can be demonstrated by providing evidence that you have completed Year 11 and 12 in Australia at any level if you are a domestic student, or through either English proficiency tests, university preparation courses, English language courses, previous tertiary study or vocational education.

Other Requirements

Immunisation: Students should note that immunisation is required for Chiropractic according to Category A, Schedule 1 of the University policy on Immunisation seen here: https://policy.murdoch.edu.au/docview/?docid=1536&public=true Other vaccinations may be required when treating special populations.

Advanced Standing

Everyone has a different path to university so if you’ve already completed formal or informal learning, you could receive advanced standing. Also known as recognition of prior learning, advanced standing can reduce the amount of study needed to complete your degree by giving you credit for certain units.

Formal learning can include previous study in higher education vocational education or adult and community education. Informal learning can include on the job learning, various kinds of work and life experience.

How much will it cost?

Instead of paying an overall course fee, you pay for the individual units you enrol in. The total course cost will vary depending on the units you choose.

Following your successful application, you’ll receive a Letter of Offer which will contain specific course and fee information.

If you are applying for an undergraduate course, you may be eligible for a Commonwealth Supported Place. Postgraduate programs are full fee paying, unless indicated otherwise in your Letter of Offer.
