Murdoch University Art Gallery recently held its Art Soirée on the evening of 9 November.

The Soirée is an annual event which celebrates the continued growth of the University’s Art Collection and brings together artists, students, academics, donors and the wider university and visual arts communities.

Attended by nearly 200 guests, this year’s Soirée was hosted by Vice Chancellor and President, Professor Andrew J Deeks, Art Collection Board Chair Brandon Munro, board members and curatorial staff.

Established in 2006, the 2024 Soirée premiered a new exhibition titled SPEAKING TRUTH TO POWER: Contemporary First Nations Art from the Murdoch University Art Collection. 

The SPEAKING TRUTH TO POWER exhibition will continue to be showcased at the Murdoch University Art Gallery into 2025, offering visitors an insightful and transformative experience through the lens of contemporary First Nations Art.
