Pushing the boundaries of agriculture education

At Murdoch University’s School of Agriculture, we are dedicated to advancing agricultural industries and fostering sustainable solutions to global challenges. As we embark on this journey, we are excited to share our story and what makes us stand out.

Our approach to education is centered around hands-on learning and real-world experiences. We believe that the best way to learn is by doing, which is why our students are given ample opportunities to gain practical skills through workshops, internships, research projects, and study abroad programs.

Our facilities provide students with access to the latest technologies and tools needed to succeed in today’s agricultural industry.

As we look to the future, we are excited to continue pushing the boundaries of what is possible in agriculture.

Our programs emphasize the importance of sustainable farming practices and animal welfare that benefit not only farmed animals but also wildlife and the broader environment.

“We believe that the next generation of agricultural leaders will play a critical role in shaping the future of our industry, and we prepare our students to be leaders in the industry, equipped with knowledge and skills to drive positive change and make a meaningful impact on the world.

Agriculture is a field where nobody can know everything, no matter how much experience they have. This creates a supportive and welcoming community for students at all levels, from undergraduate to postgraduate”, says Head of School, Associate Professor Caroline Jacobson.

Our faculty members are experts in their fields and are passionate about sharing their knowledge and experience with students. Our team brings a wealth of industry experience to the classroom. Our faculty members are also involved in cutting-edge research that are shaping the future of agriculture.

We value a diverse and inclusive community that welcomes students, staff and community partners from all backgrounds. We acknowledge that diversity is essential to our success as an institution and to the success of our students.

We also recognise the importance of connecting with industry partners and stakeholders. Our partnerships with agricultural industry leaders provide students with unique opportunities to gain hands-on experience and make valuable connections.

Through these partnerships, we are able to stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies and ensure that our programs remain relevant and innovative.

We invite you to explore our new website and learn more about our programs, faculty, and research opportunities. If you have any questions or would like more information, please do not hesitate to contact us. We look forward to hearing from you and welcoming you to our community!
