Exercise Science Students build their future through a week-long programme

all students with speaker Jeremy Chetty

In July, three students from Exercise Science were awarded scholarships to attend the Career Accelerator Programme.

The Career Accelerator Programme is week-long residential program is organised by Scotch Global at the Scotch College campus in Swanbourne, and aims to connect talented young people to industry as well as preparing them for the workplace and opportunities.

Piper Edwards tell us more about her experience on the Programme

"As a Sports Science student at Murdoch University, I'm passionate about defining and advancing my future career path. The Career Accelerator Programme resonated with me as it offered hands-on learning with a variety of industry professionals who were all unique and offered an opportunity to broaden my professional network and build connections with other like-minded peers. The highlight of the programme was listening to Jeremy Chetty- Student Edge CEO personal experience, with his wisdom on the Anchors of life; as well as the collaboration with 4 other students to create a presentation strategy for a business (Uluu) on how to communicate their sustainability credentials in a way that stands out from the greenwashing noise. This collaborative work tied in all of our guest speaker's main personal points, identifying your blind spots and knowing how to set yourself apart from others. The feedback received from my portfolio and practice interview redefined how I can move my career in a positive direction and the opportunities I can create for myself while studying."
