John Curtin College of the Arts students visit the School of Allied Health

Consultation room

The School of Allied Health regularly host high school visits. John Curtin College of the Arts students recently visited the School of Chiropractic.

Year 12 ATAR students from John Curtin College of the Arts recently completed a tour of facilities within the School of Allied Health. While exploring the facilities,  Chiropractic Academic staff shared information about Murdoch courses available to school leavers. The first stop was the anatomy laboratory, which was set up for the Mid-semester examinations, where examples of anatomy models were on display. This was a powerful opportunity for high school students to make links between their Year 12 courses with Human Biology topics and University courses that would build on this knowledge.

The second stop was the individual consulting rooms at the Chiropractic Clinic, radiography and radiology spaces within the school and our on-campus chiropractic teaching clinic. Students then headed into the large and well-equipped diagnostic laboratory where clients can also practice exercises to improve their strength and flexibility as part of their rehabilitation program to improve overall functioning.
