As part of the engaging 'WISE - Women in STEM' program at Murdoch University, Dr. Farzana Jahan shared her remarkable career journey with an audience of young female high school students.

Dr. Jahan's academic path began at the University of Dhaka, where she completed her Honours and Masters in Statistics. She then became a Lecturer of Applied Statistics at East West University. Moving to Brisbane, Australia, she earned her PhD in Statistics at Queensland University of Technology and served as a postdoctoral research fellow. Currently, Dr. Jahan is a lecturer in Statistics at Murdoch University in Perth.

During her presentation, Dr. Jahan highlighted how statistics and data science drive research and innovation, inspiring students with her dedication and passion for STEM. Her story emphasized the critical role of these fields in solving real-world problems and encouraged the young audience to pursue their scientific dreams.
