Systematic reviews workshop - South St

Steps in preparing to undertake Scoping and Systematic Reviews. 

In this workshop we will cover:  

  • What is a Systematic Review? Difference between Scoping and Systematic Reviews.  
  • Choosing appropriate question framework, such as PICO.  
  • Protocols & documentation: PRISMA reporting.  
  • Searching for literature: overview of systematic searching and reporting  
  • Databases: where to find databases, basic searching and translation.  
  • Literature selection & appraisal: risk of bias, collaboration tools. 
  • Analysis, synthesis & reporting of results.  
  • Library resources: Guides, workshops, and videos. Ask Our Librarians. 

Recommended prior knowledge: 

At least intermediate level search strategy construction, including database searching.
