Steps in preparing to undertake Scoping and Systematic Reviews.
In this workshop we will cover:
- What is a Systematic Review? Difference between Scoping and Systematic Reviews.
- Choosing appropriate question framework, such as PICO.
- Protocols & documentation: PRISMA reporting.
- Searching for literature: overview of systematic searching and reporting
- Databases: where to find databases, basic searching and translation.
- Literature selection & appraisal: risk of bias, collaboration tools.
- Analysis, synthesis & reporting of results.
- Library resources: Guides, workshops, and videos. Ask Our Librarians.
Recommended prior knowledge:
At least intermediate level search strategy construction, including database searching.
