The key dates for each teaching period are important because they determine when tuition fees need to be paid and when a withdrawal could be recorded on your transcript.
For other key dates, including supplementary and deferred exams and unit results, see dates and deadlines.
What the dates of a teaching period mean
- Before census date
A withdrawal isn't recorded on your academic transcript, but an administrative record is kept. - After census date
You need to pay tuition fees for enrolments that continue past the census date. - Between census and first date for withdrawal with fail
A withdrawal is recorded on your academic transcript. The unit is counted as an unsuccessful attempt for your Completion Rate. - On or after first date for withdrawal with fail
A fail is recorded on your academic transcript.
